Airport Police reportedly escorted an unidentified woman through the building, down the escalators, and around the hallway; a woman who the paparazzi believed was Jamie Lynn Spears.
The amount of police and flashing cameras surrounding the woman led the paparazzi to follow the crowd and attempt to photograph the decoy, a decoy who was not the actress they were after.
Jamie Lynn was nowhere to be seen and was escorted safely out of the airport through another location, in hopes of keeping her newborn child from harm.
So it seems the paparazzi has been fooled! But wait, are the police admitting to such trickery? Nope!
"All (the officers) did was follow the crowd down to the baggage area," said Sgt. Jim Holcomb of the Los Angeles airport police [via The Associated Press]. "The people they were following assumed that this was Spears because she was blonde." (Picture Below)
